About Us

​Barren River Fire Department (Station 70) is one of nine volunteer fire departments that protect the citizens of Warren County, KY. Founded in 1977, Barren River FD covers an area of 35 square miles and a population of over 3,500 people. Included in the district is a large variety of residences, businesses, and industry. Barren River FD's district is outlined by all areas North of Morgantown Road, West of Veteran's Memorial Blvd, the Barren River acts as the Northern Boundary and approximately 10 miles of the William Natcher Parkway from the Morgantown Rd. interchange (9mm) to the Warren/Butler county line (20mm). 

Barren River Fire Department is provided mutual aid by Browning (Station 10), Richardsville (Station 40) and Hadley (Station 80) Fire Departments that are automatically dispatched to any structure fire in Barren River's District. Barren River also provides mutual aid to Browning, Hadley, and Richardsville Fire Departments.  Barren River FD also has mutual aid agreements with the remaining five Warren County volunteer departments, the City of Bowling Green and surrounding counties.
