On Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at approximately 0357, Barren River Vol. Fire Department were dispatched to a single vehicle accident at the 15 mm of the William Natcher Parkway. Upon arrival arrival of BRVFD units, we discovered a semi-tractor trailer on the south bond lane of the Natcher. Both diesel saddle tanks had ruptured. Due to this incident now being a hazardous material incident Emergency Management was contacted, who took over command and clean up of this incident. BRVFD units stood by for fire suppression while a contract crew went through the operation of emptying tanker trailer of its contents which was fuel. Upon completion of this operations BRVFD units assisted the coroners office with the removal of the driver who was deceased. BRVFD units responded with Engine 72 with Fire Fighters Anthony, Pettit, Vincent and Sisley, Squad 77 with Chief E. Bowling and Fire Fighter Duggan, Private Vehicle with Deputy Chief Hamilton and Fire Fighter Jones, and Tanker 73
